About

My name is Nick Iannone, and I’m the author of Feed Me, Milwaukee!

I’m a 24-year-old software engineer living in Milwaukee, WI with my fiancee, Sydney Walker (who is a very picky eater). We inhabit a small two-bedroom apartment in Riverwest, along with our three cats, a ton of Rocky Horror merchandise, and quite a few anime convention badges.

I started this blog in May 2015 because I wanted to learn more about Milwaukee’s food scene, and be able to share my love of my city (and its food) with others. Milwaukee is an awesome city with a lot to offer, and I feel it doesn’t get the recognition it deserves from the rest of the country, much less the world. So join us as we try to show the world just what makes Milwaukee so great!

  1. I just read your blog for the first time and I love it! I have an idea and I don’t want to sound like a crazy person or anything…but here goes, lol. My in-laws, Larry and Barb VanHoveln, own a winery in Brookfield called Water2Wine that has a really large selection of wine that is fermented on site. They have free daily tastings. You can order a glass if you like something, or a bottle if you love it, or even make your own batch if you are over the moon about one of the wines. If you make your own batch you can have a bottling party there with your friends. They even do custom labels (like a picture of your family for Christmas gifts, or a company logo for thank you gifts, that kind of thing). Anyway, I thought the winery would be perfect for your blog. I mentioned it to them and they said they would be happy to give you a tour of the facility if you let them know who you are. Oh, and they have great wine tasting classes/wine education classes if you’re ever interested. If you’d like more info, feel free to email me at this address, or you can contact them directly at the winery at 262-784-9463.

    1. Thanks, Peggy! I’d be delighted to get in touch sometime. I know it’s been a while since you posted this, but I wonder if that offer of a tour is still a possibility? I’m not a professional, and I know very little about wine, but I’d love to come check it out sometime!
